Khuluma MHFA NPC: Championing Social Justice

Khuluma MHFA* NPC is building a network of social workers who are dedicated to contribute to strengthen a positive mental health culture among the South African youth.

Since 2022, the focus of Khuluma’s core team has been dedicated to developing programmes that will assist individuals and communities to build or improve their mental health resilience.

Our mental health training and support programmes are pro-active and non-clinical. They are provided by registered health professionals.

We have pilot tested “how to Khuluma” and are preparing to scale it within the Durban area and beyond. Although our programs are well structured and not clinical, they are delivered under the appropriate protocols of confidentiality and ensure that referral procedures are in place in the event of emergencies.

Khuluma will train (unemployed) social workers and provide them with the resources need to operate in the area where they live. Khuluma is a not-for-profit business and is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity employment.
